Decorative Flake Floor (Single Color)
Services: American Poly Floors will provide an epoxy/urethane decorative flake floor, which includes a moisture vapor barrier primer, a full layer of flake, and a polyaspartic protective topcoat. We believe that a long-lasting floor starts with proper preparation, which is why we begin with a thorough diamond grinding process. This process involves removing old glue, cleaning the floor, and abrading it to promote adhesion. Below are the detailed steps involved in the process:
Steps included:
-Floor Prep: clean and remove any and all existing coatings and contaminates.
Profiled (concrete floor): Mechanically prepare by diamond grinding to CSP 2-3.
-Sound: Treat all significant cracks with manufacturer approved crack and joint repair. Vacuum and Acetone mop floor to insure all dust and micro-dust is removed
-Base Coat: Apply base coat with a high-build 100% solids Epoxy for increased durability— recommended for indoor high-traffic residential and Epoxy high-build for increased durability and longevity
-Flake: Broadcast flake to rejection
-Prep floor for Top Coat by picking up excess flake, scrape and vacuum to insure proper texture and adherence
-Top Coat: Apply 93% Solids Polyaspartic with anti-slip built in

Optional Add Additional Decorative Flake Floor (Per Additional Color)
Add Additional Colors: We're pleased to offer the option of adding additional flake floors to your project. The cost for each additional color is $3.50 per square foot. Please note that additional costs are incurred due to the need to remobilize our crew, which is necessary because of the cure times required between each layer of flake. However, we believe that the end result is worth the extra time and cost. Our team of experts will work closely with you to ensure that you get the exact look and finish you desire for your space. With American Poly, you can expect exceptional quality and attention to detail in every aspect of your project.
